While we weren't watching

You know that feeling of missing a couple of episodes of your favouite TV show and when you finally get to watch it so much has changed. Even though you've managed to read the updates online and heard all about it from your friends who are also faithful about watching the show but when you finally switch the TV on.. hear the familiar TV tune you soon realise so much has changed.

That's how I feel about a certain relationship(s) in my life.

I mean, I know the person (we'll work with singular because it's easier) - well and yet their reactions are so different to what I expect or how I have come to know.

I almost feel as if I never knew the person or watched the show and just can't seem to get back into it.

I think it's hard to understand because I don't think I am the one who has changed in the relationship therefore I find myself questioning at what stage did this happen? Did I do something wrong to this person? Was this unavoidable? Was my affinity to protect them - which was necessary - the way I lost them?

Clearly there's a lot going on in my head as always but while I deal with it let me go back to watching something that's constant and predictable like re-runs of One Tree Hill knowing that Lucas will always go back to Peyton or with the Bold and the Beautiful where Brooke and Taylor will always passively hate one another because despite the fact that it's predictable at the very least, I can take comfort in the fact that, that hasn't changed while I turned away for the TV...

Have a terrific Tuesday and thanks for reading my random thoughts.

Dance is an expression

This is the longest time I have not blogged since I started this little hobby of mine. I wish I had a proper reason or that life has been so amazing that I haven't had time to blog but the truth is, I have been so incredibly sick and even more so stressed. However next week I will be able to explain more.

Moving on to the actual topic of this post... on Wednesday evening, I went to a contemporary dance show and it really just reminded me that emotions can be expressed through dancing and that is a beautiful thing. My mom really doesn't like contemporary dance - at all and neither did I until I started watching "So You Think You Can Dance" and more specifically, Mia Michaels.

Here are some of my favourites expressions of dances:

And my absolute favourite contemporary dance ever :

All these performances are so moving... do you agree?

Tuesday Thought - Know When to Walk Away

If you hear ant of these lines, he 's definitely breaking up with you. Walk away with as much dignity as you can muster.

1.It's not you, it's me
2. You're such a sweet girl...
3. I just need time to find myself.
4. I'm not ready for a serious relationship, or a casual one, or any relationship.... with you
5.You're better off without me/too good for me/beneath me
6. I'm moving away/don't have a long time to live.
7. I can't see you anymore. This whole thing is just making me ill.
8. If you were slimmer, had red hair and didn't have the deformed toe, I think I could marry you.
9. I think I'm allergic to your saliva.
10.I want to be free to be with someone who agrees with me about things.
11.It's not your fault, I just feel like I don't want to see your big fat face anymore.
12.If I were ready for love, it wouldn't be with you.
13. If you wanted sex more often, I wouldn't need to sleep with anyone else.
14. I find the smell of you off-putting.
15. My ex is haunting me.

This is an extract from my current book, Never Google Heartbreak by Emma Garcia. I am almost done with it but it's really funny and relatable. I actually know people who have heard some of the above mentioned excuses.

Is this extract missing any options out?  Have you heard anything like these or worse? Come on, share your knowledge...

Moving Forward

I received some really great news yesterday. It's not something that I want to share on here purely because it invloves other people who are close to me but what I do want to share is that I have been invloved with, let's call it a project, for a number of years. My involvement began and continued for many reasons but mostly through loyalty to the other persons involved.

Either way, this "project" is no longer mine and I am really happy. It just felt like it was weighing me down because it came with so much responsibility which I didn't want accompanied with very little control on my side. Although the "project"is no longer mine - I will now enter into a period of handover and then I'm free..

I realise that this post makes it seem like I was burdened which I wasn't but what I do feel is that when I am ready for another project then I will do it from my initative and within my terms. I am just glad that I am making movements to letting go which will open me up for other opputunities!

Is there anything in your life that you feel this way about? Please tell me I'm not the only one???
