I Can't Be Defined {Link Up #13}

In my previous post I shared links that I've been liking. One of them was a personality test, the Myers Briggs test more specifically and what I failed to share is that every time I have taken this test I have received a different result.

It actually started as a joke because one of my BFFs is in Human Resources and she was saying that this test was really helping them at work understand their employees but when she was looking at the possible answers, she couldn't really pin me down so she sent me the test and I've taken it at least six times. Never the same answer.

Does that mean I'm a psycho, that can't be profiled???

Here is my most recent result  : ENFJ which is broken down into  the following     Extravert(1%)  iNtuitive(25%)  Feeling(62%)  Judging(22%)

This is what all that means and my comments:

// ENFJs are global learners. They see the big picture. The ENFJs focus is expansive. Some can juggle an amazing number of responsibilities or projects simultaneously. Many ENFJs have tremendous entrepreneurial ability.

- I definitely would view myself as a global learner. Often referred to as a nerd but really, I like learning new stuff and stimulating my intelligence. I do tend to take charge of projects which may lead to me organizing a number of projects simultaneously.

//Their offices may or may not be cluttered, but their conclusions (reached through feelings) about people and motives are drawn much more quickly and are more resilient than those of their NFP counterparts.

- This may or may not be true. Usually I keep my office or space organized. Although, it seems like to others organized chaos, when I do a clean down, I really clean up and maintain for a while month or so.

// ENFJs know and appreciate people.

- YES!!! I absolutely know people and appreciate some all. That appreciation isn't necessarily reciprocated.

//Like most NFs, (and Feelers in general), they are apt to neglect themselves and their own needs for the needs of others. They have thinner psychological boundaries than most, and are at risk for being hurt or even abused by less sensitive people. ENFJs often take on more of the burdens of others than they can bear.

- I've been told this is true and at times I do agree. Okay, I agree all the time, although in my adolescence I definitely used to take how people reacted to my advice or opinion very personally but as I got older I realized that  people will react the way they want to either way. Often your  advice falls on deaf ears.

Have you taken the test yet? Were your results conclusive???

Today's Wednesday, so you know I'm linking up with Kathy and Ian!

Look At These Links

Monday is here, it feels like it arrives a whole lot quicker as the year goes by! I always see posts where my fellow bloggers share links which either inspire or entertain them and I love checking them out. I've been wanting to do one of said posts ( or a twist on it)  for a while but I've been too busy lazy to actually do so but today's the day I feel like sharing!

// If you're a blogger, you're more than likely on Facebook, I loved this article about the 10 Tiresome Facebook Friends we have. I think I have nine of the ten, you?

// There's a Myers-Briggs personality test that is supposed to give you what kind of personality you have and then your strengths and weaknesses in you work life can be identified and handled.

// #IfIWereABoy what would you do, if you were a boy?

//  An article to remind you that you are the main character of your story

// This video where Janet looks at "dick pics" - her reactions are really funny - but beware, you have to sign in. (Can I just say, I didn't know everyone was talking about Dick Pics.. but I guess I know now) - Don't worry, nothing too graphic

// This girl, Beckie, takes a selfie everyday for six and a half years. She goes through cancer and survives it but keeps taking pictures!

// I am super sarcastic so I know these are true.

// I am completely in love with travelling, but if you're not sure this article may help you see the signs

And that's it folks, some of the links I am liking... what interesting links have you found recently?

Sunday Quiz!

While I was not planning on blogging today, I have the posts for the rest of the year planned up so I had to put this post up today.

It is still surreal that our dear Mr Nelson Mandela has been laid to rest. Today was the funeral, watching it on the TV was incredibly sad and sweet. I especially liked the personal antidotes that were shared about a man who gave his life towards my (and all South Africans) freedom. It doesn't shock me that it's raining because the weather is fitting with the world's mourning hearts.

Anyway, I just wanted to link up with Erin from Two Thirds Hazel with a Blogmopolitan Quiz. This was fun and easy which I needed today after the last 9 days of National mourning.

Anyway, thanks Erin for the link up!!!

Have a good Sunday and go check out Erin and the other ladies' posts...

Blogtember: Monday, September 9

Monday, September 9: Take this short personality test and respond to your results. (at the end, find the detailed profile of your personality account - click "click to view" under "You" and "self awareness and personal growth." You can even google your type and find more info on it!)

In today's topic for the day, I had to take this test... and react to the results

And because I like to be honest with all of you, I must admit that I have taken this test before.. on many occasions and each time I have received a different result.

ESFJ
Extravert(22%) Sensing(1%) Feeling(50%) Judging(33%)
  • You have slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion (22%)
  • You have marginal or no preference of Sensing over Intuition (1%)
  • You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (50%)
  • You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (33%)
Notice how none of my answers are distinct in establishing what kind of person I am, there are marginal or slight or NO preferences over the others.

However, I must say, the explination of what I am like is sorta spot on!
Here are my most relevant parts...

ESFJs are easily wounded. And when wounded, their emotions will not be contained. They by nature "wear their hearts on their sleeves," often exuding warmth and bonhomie, but not infrequently boiling over with the vexation of their souls. Some ESFJs channel these vibrant emotions into moving dramatic performances on stage and screen.
Strong, contradictory forces consume the ESFJ. Their sense of right and wrong wrestles with an overwhelming rescuing, 'mothering' drive. This sometimes results in swift, immediate action taken upon a transgressor, followed by stern reprimand; ultimately, however, the prodigal is wrested from the gallows of their folly, just as the noose tightens and all hope is lost, by the very executioner!

Have you taken this test before? What did you think of the results?
